After lockdown began to be eased here in the Highlands, I took advantage of a good weather forecast to head out early into the Caledonian Forest for some early morning photography. With sunrise occurring around 4.30 am in late May, it takes a bit of effort to get myself out the door. But the rewards are always worth it; simply being out there among nature at a time when there are no other people around; witnessing the greatest show on earth as the sun rises and the hills and glens are flooded with light.
